SPACE is where intelligence becomes grounded.
SPACE Lab—the Spatial Computing and Embodied Intelligence Lab—is a research group in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. We advance embodied intelligence, world models, and spatial and physical intelligence, with the goal of building systems that can understand and interact with the world—not simply recognize what is in it.
Our research connects perception, simulation, reasoning, and control. We develop agents that perceive and act in open environments, predictive representations that capture how dynamic scenes evolve, and geometry- and physics-informed methods that ground intelligent behavior in the structure and consequences of the physical world.
By bringing foundational models and integrated systems into a continuous loop between sensing and action, we aim to create intelligence that can perceive, predict, and participate in real environments. We are building an open, collaborative community and welcome students and collaborators who want to help push the frontier of grounded intelligence.
